English Conversation Course Concluded at Faculty of Humanities
With the participation of 30 trainees, a training course in English conversation skills was concluded last Monday at Faculty of Humanities.
The 50-hour course was organized by Department of English to develop the students’ speaking/listening skills as well as communication tactics through a number of intensive class activities and practices.
A small party was conducted on the occasion in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif (CBT), Dr. Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), Mr. Ali El-thayfani (Secretary-general), Dr. Mohammed Shawqi (Dean of Humanities), and Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi (Head of English Department).
In a speech, the Chancellor noted that the University is keen to offer an excellent educational standard so that students get qualified well for their future professions. He praised the role of the College’s Dean as well as the Head of the Department in organizing such an event. He also asked the students to avail themselves of the opportunity and join such activities.
For his part, Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi, Head of English Department, highly appreciated the Chancellor’s continuous support represented by sponsoring such courses that help students become proficient speakers of English enhancing in the process their professional profile.
Mr. Jamal El-Khawlani, the Course Trainer, asked participants to keep on developing their English language skills since practice always makes perfect.
