Community Health & Nursing Departments Did MPHP Field Training

The 4th level students of Community Health and Nursing Departments at Faculty of Medical Science, Al-Nasser University, carried out a mutual field training of several programs ascribed by Ministry of Public health and Population. The activity is part of the FMS training plan for the 2nd semester, 2021/2022.

The program’s plan included making a field visit to National Center for Health and Population Promotion, National Program for Tuberculosis Control, National Program for Extended Immunization, and National Program for Malaria Control. The students got acquainted with the tasks and work mechanism of the above programs. They were accompanied throughout the training by Dr. Saif Eshami, Director of Health Promotion Department at Ministry of Public Health and Population. The program’s plan is to go on for the next two weeks during which the trainees will visit Palestine Hospital and the MPHP headquarter.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Eshaheth, Head of Community Health Department, stressed the importance of field training in enriching the students’ health knowledge. According to him, it links up the theoretical and practical learning, improve the students’ professional skills in the fields of healthcare and preventive medicine, prepare them to the labor market, and make them active participants in promoting health education. He availed himself of the occasion to present his sincere thanks to the Chancellor and FMS Dean for their support and collaboration with the heads of departments to refine the learning quality as well as the students’ healthcare skills.
