ANU Partakes in 3rd Winter Sport Tournament Opening Ceremony

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, Al-Nasser University took part in the opening ceremony of the 3^rd winter sport tournament organized by Wahdat-Sana’a Club. The ceremony was held at the Club’s playground on Sunday, 2 February 2020.

According to the Chancellor, the University is keen to participate in external activities as part of its activity program. The present year’s participation comes in extension to partaking in the 2nd tournament. He noted to how the Al-Nasser team was carefully selected from the teams participating in the University’s internal football league to represent it in the 3^rd winter tournament.   

The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Vice Prime Minister for National Vision Affairs, Minister of Youth & Sports, Minister of Vocational Training, Chairman of Wahdat-Sana’a Club, Vice Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of Youth for Sports Sector, and a number of clubs’ secretary-generals and sport celebrities. Al-Nasser delegate to the event included the participant team in addition to Mr. Murshid Al-Aghberi (Chairman of Human Resources Dept.) and Mr. Abdurrahman Al-Hamadi (the IT Technician).  About 2600 athletes are to participate in the two-month competition that comprise football, basketball, tennis, combat games, and septet soccer for companies, universities, orgs, schools, institutes, foreign communities, academies, and orphanages.
