6th Scholarly Week of Research Project Viva Held at FAFS

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), the 1st session of the 6th scholarly week was held at Faculty of Administrative and Financial Studies , Al-Nasser University on Sat, 20 July 2019. During the week’s viva voce sessions, students graduating from the various programs in 2018/2019 turned up to defend their graduation projects.

Addressing the attendees, Prof Tahish gave a speech in which he confirmed the University’s great interest in research methodology that students learn and by which they become able to meet the scholarly standards and approaches as they prepare research plans and studies. He noted to the University’s major and inclusive objective of graduating well qualified and professionally competent cadre.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Quhali (FAFS Dean) pointed out that the viva voce week represents a corner stone in preparing the students for postgraduate studies. He noted to how the research projects make a firm foundation that enhance the students’ understanding of the research methodology principles.

Dr. Abdulkhaleq Mo’azab (the instructor of Law and Management at Sana’a University) praised the viva voce mechanism at Al-Nasser University which, according to him,  is distinct from other universities and similar to postgraduate studies in terms of dividing research groups, appointing supervisors as well as internal and external examiners for each group. He counseled the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills they acquired throughout their study efficiently in career so as to hold high the name of Al-Nasser University that ranks first in practical as well as theoretical studies.

For his part, Dr. Mukhtar Essedmi (the instructor of Business Administration and a research supervisor) cast the light on how the efforts made by FAFS deanship and Al-Nasser board for producing well-qualified graduates could reconcile the labor market requirements with the University’s outcome to ensure opportunities and an active community role for graduates.

The viva voce session was held at the University’s headquarter in the presence of Dr. Qais Ennuzaili (Head of IT Department), Mr. Salah Eladlah (Head of Business Administration Department), faculty and staff members, and FAFS students.
