At Culture Day Celebration, University Honors Talented Students

Students of Al-Nasser University have celebrated on Thursday the Culture Day that the University used to organize on the 3rd of April annually.

The function is meant to revive the cultural traditions as well as to bring to light the students’ creative gifts. Moreover, such an event helps to keep on the strong bond between the University’s administrative and academic cadres on the one hand and the students on the other enhancing in the process cultural interaction.

At the ceremony, which was organized by the students of the Faculty of Administrative Science at the University campus on 60-Metre St., Dr. Saeed Ghalib, the Chancellor, hailed such events as they help raise the students’ cultural consciousness. He stressed that cultivating a generation armed with science and knowledge and able to take responsibility efficiently must always embark from enhancing their cultural identity.

The Chancellor expressed his thanks to attendees, the organizers, and the university’s talented students. He also suggested the designation of a sports day so that the University’s success assumes a multi-dimensional form, confirming the university’s willingness to support and sponsor the students’ creative activities in any field
Dr. Mohammed Alkuhali, Dean of Administrative Sciences College, expressed his sense of satisfaction with the great success achieved by the University compared to its short age. Dr. Alkuhali emphatically referred such immense achievements to the strong and sincere will of the university’s administration. It is that willpower, according to him, which creates the educational environment promising and auspicious to students.  He concluded that the Culture Day celebration is but a chapter in the University’s book of success.
He bade congratulations to Pharmacology Juniors for winning the University League Championship and to Administrative Sciences students for attaining the second place and launching the second issue of the Administrative Sciences Journal, wishing them the best of success.
During the ceremony, the University honored ideal students, and the sport teams participating in the University League championship which came to an end on Wednesday with crowning the Pharmacology Juniors team as the champion for the second time in a row.
The ceremony witnessed a number of cultural, artistic and expressive performances presented by chanting and dancing troupes. Besides, copies of the second issue of Administrative Sciences and Humanities Journal were circulated among attendees.
The ceremony was attended by the Chancellor, Dr. Saeed Ghalib, and the Secretary General, Dr. Ali Altheifani in addition to faculty members and a large number of students.
