Dr. Ibtisam Almu’ayad to Head of Lab Department

Dr. Ibtisam Almu’ayad has been appointed as the Head of Laboratory Department, Faculty of Medical Sciences after Dr. Ammar Omar, the ex-chairman, quitted the job and left for India to pursue the PhD degree. Dr. Ibtisam who got her PhD in Microbiology from Sana’a University has been a faculty member at Faculty of Medical Sciences, Al-Nasser University since 2010. Her previous engagement with several universities enriched her teaching experience of core papers at Pharmacology, Laboratory and Public Health departments.

Laboratory Department is one of the most important departments at the University. Unlike the equivalent departments of other universities, it has a large number of native and international students. Dr. Nasser Alkadah referred such a distinction to the latest practical equipments and devices facilitated by the department. In addition, the teaching staff at the department is all well-qualified as most of them are faculty members at Sana’a University.

In a statement, Dr. Ibtisam thanked Al-Nasser administration for trusting her with such a position. She emphasized that she will do her best to upgrade the department by giving priority to the applied and practical aspects of learning. She also declared her plans of syllabus description so as to meet the standards of quality and academic accreditation as well as of qualifying students towards becoming efficient professionals.
