University Partakes in Founding Ceremony of Arab Association for Environmental Sciences

Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT) attended last Thursday the founding ceremony of Arab Association for Environmental Sciences to which the University was a joint sponsor.

Affiliated to the Arab Research Councils Union of the League of Arab States, the afore-mentioned Association was established to support the environmental development as a cornerstone in the states’ political, economic, and developmental policies.

The Association seeks also to contribute to the dissemination of environmental awareness, to create a favorable climate for researchers, to coordinate the efforts of the Arab scientific research centers, to take advantage of the relevant Arab scientific expertise, and to find funding sources for scientific research projects.

Besides CBT representing Al-Nasser, the ceremony was attended by representatives of Arab universities, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, a number of scholars, and the media.  Sana’a University was selected to be the headquarter as well as springboard for the Association.
