Seminar to Upgrade Academic System & Launch Internal Portal

Under the auspices of the Chancellor, a seminar was organized last Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Grand Hall by the I T Unit about upgrading the academic system and launching the internal portal

Attendees included: Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT), Dr. Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and staff members.

The seminar dealt with a number of themes related to updating the academic and financial process so that users can access and edit data very precisely in the upcoming academic year. It also clarified some updates in the students’ portal.

Mr. Fa’eq El-Hamoudi noted that the added updates intended to solve certain technical problems and enhance the electronic system’s performance to keep pace with the users’ recommended needs.

Dr. Tahish confirmed the University’s interest in upgrading the academic system to be consistent with the regulations of Ministry of Higher Education. He stressed that the students’ marks should be processed electronically by the respective teachers to avoid any possible abuse of results.

The seminar was primarily set to acquaint the staff with the system’s updates designed to overcome the previous technical faults and facilitate accessibility.
