ANU Commemorates Prophet Birthday and Celebrates Top & Fresher Students

Under the auspices of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Ben Hebtor, a festival was organized at Sana’a Orphanage Hall by Al-Nasser University to commemorate the Prophet’s honorable birthday. The event was also meant to celebrate the fresher day as well as reward the 2018/2019 top students at Faculties of Medical Sciences, Engineering and Computer Sciences, Administrative and Financial Studies, and Humanities.

The event was held in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT), Prof. Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), Mr. Dhaif-Allah Shami (Minister of the Media), Mr. Hasan Ezzadeen (Consultant of HESR Minister), Mr. Ra’ed Esh-shaer (Executive Director at Judicial Guard’s Office), Mr. Mohammed El-Wade’i (Companies Manager at Judicial Guard’s Office).

Commencing his speech by greeting the audience, the Chancellor confirmed the three pillars representing Al-Nasser University’s principal objectives: education, research and community service. The University has always been keen to offer the best educational services so that its outcomes can denote its good name with community. He concluded his address by urging the fresher students to avail themselves of the University’s learning facilities and spare no effort to study hard. He also expressed his sense of pride over the top students who would carry high the University’s name and wished them the best of success.

For his part, Mr. Shami (Minister of the Media) thanked Al-Nasser for its interest in commemorating the occasion of the Prophet’s honorable birthday. Besides, he mentioned the Yemenis’ traits that have traditional bonds with supporting the Prophet (ppbuh). He also harped upon certain historical junctures at His biography.

Hosted by the brilliant presenters Belal El-Arabi and Basmah El-Math-haji, the festival’s program included a number of amusing and variable shows. The event was concluded with handing awards over to the top students of all programs. The audience included such significant figures as Secretary General, Director of Quality Unit, deans of faculties, heads of departments, staff members, in addition to the fresher and top students’ families.

As for the audience’ impressions, Mr. Fuad El-Badani stressed the University’s creative organization of the fresher and top students’ festival that took place simultaneously with the Prophet’s birthday commemoration. According to him, the event is a kind and praiseworthy gesture by the University.

Student Safa Ana’am (the 2^nd top ranker of Information Systems 1^st level) noted to the event’s excellent program. Likewise, Abdulmalik El-Matari (Medical Lab 3^rd level student) considered the bright celebration a kind gesture by which the University welcomes the freshers and honors the top students.

Mahmoud Hasan EL-Hasel (2^nd top ranker of Nursing 1^st level) felt proud of the university and its faculty members who contributed to his excellence. For his part, Mohammed Qais (1^st top ranker of Sharia & Law) presented his sincere thanks to whosoever supported him and his colleagues to keep up such an outstanding level of perseverance.
