Open Day Activity Organized by English Department

In the presence of Prof. Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), the Open Day activity was organized by students of English Department at Faculty of Humanities. The event took place in the grand hall of the University’s headquarter on March 4, 2020.

Prof. Tahish gave a speech on the occasion in which he praised the efforts made by the head of English Department that appear remarkably in the students’ outstanding performance. He also commended the efforts of the event’s organizers and participants that lead to presenting such an excellent program. He, furthermore, called the students of English to keep on developing their language skills wishing them the best of success. 

For his part, Dr. Munir Ahmed Al-Aghberi (Head of English Department) pointed out that the Open Day program is meant to bring out the students’ language as well as oratory skills. In his words, it is an annual, interactive, group activity through which the students can show what they have learnt in brilliant and creative ways.    

The program included intellectual, cultural, and entertaining activities in addition to competitions. The students presented excellent participations that bring forward the national traditions innovatively. The participants could skillfully present various activities that convey important messages and create lots of fun as well. The program was concluded with handing awards over to participants and honoring fourth level students. 

The event was attended by Mr. Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary General), Dr. Anwar Masoud (Director of Quality Unit), Dr. Mohammed Shawqi (Dean of Humanities), Dr. Fahd El-Khayat (FAFS Dean), Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi (Head of English Department), Dr. Qais Ennuzaili (Head of I T Department), some faculty and staff members, and the students of English Department.
