Al-Nasser University Council Held to Confer MOHESR’s Study Resumption Decree

Chaired by Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a University Council’s emergency meeting was held on Wed, 24 June 2020, to stand upon the decree of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to resume the interrupted study process of the 2019/2020 academic year.

The meeting’s agenda included the regulations and procedures to carry on the classes and hold the final exams of the academic year 2019/2020. Tackling also the preparations for the upcoming academic year 2020/2021, the Council concluded to file a proposal containing all requirements to MOHESR. Based on their reply, the appropriate decisions are to be taken and then declared to students for implementation.

MOHESR had held a meeting on Tuesday, 23 June 2020 chaired by Mr. Hussein Hazeb, the Minister. The Meeting came up with the decree number (37/2020) about implementing the regulations governing the study resumption and final exams of the 2019/2020 academic year in public and private universities. It also determined the preparations for the 2020/2021 academic year and anti-Covid19 precautionary procedures. The decree has been circulated to the MOHESR’s public and private institutions.

All members of the University Council attended the meeting held at the University’s headquarter.
