ANU Holds 2019/2020 Convocation

Under the auspices of his highness Mr. Hussein Hazeb, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Al-Nasser University celebrated the graduation of 339 students coming from Faculty of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Ccomputer Sciences, Faculty of Administrative and Financial Studies, and Faculty of Humanities for the 2019/2020 academic year. The event was held on Thursday, 25 Feb 2021, at Eloroubah Club Hall.

The event was held in the presence of Dr. Sadeq Esharjabi  (Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research and Vice Chairman of Academic Accreditation Council), Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), Dr. Fuad Abdurrazaq (Executive Manager of IT Department at MOHESR), Shiekh Hezam Erroba’, Mr. Ali Ethayfani (Secretary General), deans of faculties, heads of departments, faculty and staff members, and the graduating students’ families and friends.

Addressing the audience, Prof Tahish noted to the three goals of education, research and community service that Al-Nasser has always committed to since its establishment. A long way has been gone as to the first goal by which all practical requirements are installed in accordance to the standards of the Academic Accreditation Council. As for the research goal, the University has built well-equipped labs in its various faculties, participated in several academic conferences, and sponsored a number of scientific activities. With regard to the community service, Al-Nasser University has made remarkable contributions by conducting social, humanitarian and charity activities throughout the year.

The Chancellor concluded his speech with celebrating the graduates who did their best to reach the present moment. He, moreover, congratulated the top-ranking students for the brilliant success they achieved and stressed the University’s sense of pride of all its graduates who are worthy of thanks as the builders of the nation’s promising future.

For his part, Dr. Sadeq Esharjabi, (Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research), delivered a speech in which he presented his thanks to Al-Nasser University represented by board and staff for organizing such an event to celebrate a cohort who have completed their courses in accordance to the Academic Accreditation Council standards. He confirmed that the present day marks a station in which students harvest long years of hard work and get ready for a new stage by which they practice their professions and serve their national wellbeing.

The event’s program included a data show on one of the FMS research projects presented by Fuad Elarashi, the graduates speech delivered by Weam Elhamadi on behalf of her colleagues, many shows presented by the brilliant stars Amar Eshaikh and Ayat Amar in addition to Osor Pop Dance Team, and a comic show by the starring actors Tawfiq Eladraei and Abdurrahman Eljoubi.

The convocation, hosted by Natheer Elareeqi, was concluded with handing rewards over to the top-ranking students and honor certificates to Dr. Fuad Abdurrazaq (Executive Manager of IT Department at MOHESR) as well as Mr. Ali Rabeh on behalf of Soqor Security band and the starring singer Amar Eshaikh.
