DQAC Holds “Academic Program Self-Assessment According to AAQ Standards” Workshop

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a workshop was organized by Development and Quality Assurance Center under the slogan “Academic Program Self-Assessment According to AAQ Standards”. The workshop was held at the University’s headquarter on Sun, 16 Jan 2022.

At the outset, Prof Tahish delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants and confirmed the importance of programs’ self-assessment so as to fulfil quality in learning outcomes, especially under the universities’ competition to get local and international accreditation.

The key lecture in the workshop was delivered by Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center. It included the following topics: key concepts of self-assessment, benchmarks of program assessment, frameworks of program self-assessment, phases and procedures of program self-assessment, the significance of program self-assessment reports, and finally implementing self-assessment in accordance to the standards, forms, and tools of Academic Accreditation Council.

The workshop targeted deans of faculties, heads of departments, the committee in charge of preparing Pharmacy program self-assessment, and DQAC members. The event was concluded with handing certificates over to participants.
