DQAC Holds “Up-to-date Approach to Program Specification Design” Workshop

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a workshop was held under the slogan “Up-to-date Approach to Program Specification Design According”. The workshop was organized by Development and Quality Assurance Center at the University’s Headquarter on Monday, 17 Jan 2022.

In his speech, the Chancellor confirmed the University’s keen interest in being updated on the academic programs it offers in accordance with the standards of Academic Accreditation Council, on the one hand, and the requirements of the labor market, on the other. He noted that raising the educational level and producing excellent professionals represent the highest national goal that any educational institution can serve.

The trainer of the workshop was Dr. Mohammed Esh-sharjabi, an international expert in the field of quality and academic accreditation. The workshop tackled the following themes: the educational systems based on learning outcomes, the basic components of academic programs, aligning and deriving the program’s basic components, approaches to academic programs, practical example of the up-to-date approach to academic program design, the key elements of program specification, and finally the approach to designing and aligning the components of an academic program to other plans.

The event was held at the University’s headquarter with the participation of Mr. Ali Ethayfani (Secretary general), Prof Omar Eshuja (DQAC Dean), deans of faculties, heads of departments, in addition to some faculty and staff members.
