Computing & IT Department Holds Fresher Orientation Day

An orientation day was organized for the fresher students (1444 AH/2022-3) by Computing and IT Department at Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences, Al-Nasser University. Held on Sat, 17 Sep 2022, the activity was meant to introduce the fresher students to the academic program as well as the courses of the department and Aptech Center.

According to Dr. Qais Ennuzaili, FECS Vice Dean and Head of IT Department, the activity has intended to acquaint the fresher students with the academic programs offered by Computing and IT Department including: Information Technology, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. The fresher students have been identified with the future and salient features of the above fields of study in addition to counselling them about the undergraduate study.

A brief introduction to the course mechanism and syllabus of Aptech International Center was presented by Mr. Fawaz Elqubati, the Superintendent of IT Department and Academic Head of Aptech Center at Al-Nasser University. He explained to students the merits of combining the course plans so that the students can obtain four certificates: a bachelor’s degree from Al-Nasser University and three professional certificates from Aptech International Center-India.

For his part, Mr. Hani Elghaythi, the faculty member at IT Department, reviewed the majors that students can specialize in and the programming languages to be studied every year. He also provided some advices for students to become proficient programmers.

The event was held in the presence of Mr. Ali Ethayfani, Secretary General, and the 1^st level students of the different programs at Computing and IT Department.
