Admin Sophomore: Al-Nasser Football League Champion

Winning against Pharma Juniors, the Admin Sophomore Team was crowned as Al-Nasser football league champion in the tournament’s final game that took place at El-Wehdah Club Stadium last Monday, Jan 2, 2017.

The exciting game began enthusiastically in the first half with both teams’ attempts to score early. The first half, however, ended with a 0-0 tie.

In the second half, Pharma Team had an absolute control over the game by charging many attacks but could not score. Admin Player Moh’d Khurais could make use of a ball rebound to score his team’s first goal.

The match went on with a sole goal till Malik El-Edreesi could score the Admin’s second goal. All the Pharma attempts to tie the result thereafter went in vain due to the spirited defense of Admin’s starring goalkeeper.

The enthusiastic game, therefore, ended with the victory of Admin Team for the second time in a row; the same team garnered the title last year.

The game took place in the presence of: Chancellor Prof. Abdullah Tahish, Dr. Mohammed El-Kuhali (FAFS Dean), Dr. Yasser El-Madhaji (Head of Pharmacy Dept.) and a gathering of fan students. The game was refereed by Salah EL-Zuraiqi (a player of the national league).

Thereafter, the Chancellor handed the League Cup over to Admin Team and the medals to the starring players. The Best-player Award was given to Amar El-Belaid of Pharma Team whereas the League top-scorer Award was garnered by Moh’d Khurais.

The Chancellor praised the players’ professional performance as well as the well-organized league games conducted by the responsible committee. He also thanked the cohorts’ representatives for raising the players’ morale.

The winning team players cheerfully celebrated the League Cup on the match playground and inside the campus along with their Dean Dr. El-Kuhali who thanked his students for winning the title, League Champion.
