Al-Nasser Holds “How to Choose Specialty” Session for Arkan Secondary School Students

Under the auspices of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a session was organized by Al-Nasser University on Tues, 14 March 2023, at Faculty of Medical Sciences. Targeting the she-students of Arkan Secondary School, the session tackled the topic of “how to choose specialty.”

The session program included a speech by the Chancellor who greeted the participants and noted that Al-Nasser University is committed to three main goals: education, research, and community service. Guided by these goals, the University has been doing its best to equip its graduates with the best qualification so that they can represent the University well as well as contribute to the national wellbeing.

Prof Mohammed Esharjabi, the Chancellor’s Counselor for Academic Accreditation and Supervisor of Computer Programs, gave the key speech on “how to choose specialty” in which he talked about many topics including: the criteria of choosing specialty, the favorite professions for labor market, the art of decision-making, know yourself, and discover your discipline. The workshop included a number of group and individual activities that enriched the session’s themes and encouraged the participants’ interaction.

A speech was also given by Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center. He reviewed the history and achievements of Al-Nasser University throughout its progress. In addition, he introduced the University’s faculties, departments, programs, staff, and faculty members.

During the program, the students of Arkan School were given a chance to visit the FMS labs, Faculty of Dentistry, FECS labs, and the central library.

The event was held in the presence of Mr. Ali Ethayfani, Secretary General, Prof Abdulkareem Ezzumor, FMS Dean, Dr. Qais Ennuzaili, FECS Dean and Head of IT Department, Mr. Murshid Al-Aghberi, Director of Human Resources Office, and many staff and faculty members. Arkan School was represented by Mr. Abdullah Abu Hamid, the Headmaster, and Saleh Elmizalem, the Deputy. The event was concluded with honoring the University students participating in the sports and scientific competitions organized by Ministry of Higher Education.
