Al-Nasser University Celebrates 2018/2019 Convocation

Under the auspices of the Vice-Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof Ali Sharaf Addeen, Al-Nasser University celebrated the graduation of 355 students from faculties of Medical Sciences, Engineering and Computer Sciences, Administrative and Financial Studies, and Humanities.  The 2018/2019 convocation was held in ELoroobah Club Hall, Sana’a on Thursday, 5 Sep 2019.

The event was held in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT), Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor). The chief guests were: Prof Ali Sharaf Addeen (Vice-Minister of Higher Education), Mr. Abdulhameed El-Haddi (Member of Shura Council), Prof Munther Ishaq (Counselor of Higher Education Minister) and Prof Muhammed V (Acting Chairman of Private Universities Union).

In a speech he delivered, Prof Sahraf Addeen noted that today’s graduates are exceptional as they could complete their study during exceptional circumstances that our nation is undergoing. He confirmed that the graduates, with their different specialties, would build up their country. He also thanked the board, staff and faculty members of Al-Nasser University for their efforts towards graduating the present cohort and congratulated the parents who attended to share their children’s success.

For his part, Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor) addressed the audience confirming that Al-Nasser University offers educational services based on three objectives: learning, research, and community service. The academic quality and compliance to the standards of Academic Accreditation Council have been taken as a motto. He felt proud of the graduates as they are so well –qualified to be good representatives of Al-Nasser to the labor market.

Hosted by the brilliant presenters Belal El-Arabi and Basmah El-Math-haji, the convocation’s program included a number of artful and acrobat shows. The event was concluded with handing awards over to the top students of all programs. The audience included such significant figures as Secretary General, deans of faculties, heads of departments, staff members, in addition to the graduates’ families and friends.

The students’ feedbacks on the convocation were taken of which the following are some samples. Ms. Rania Sa’eed (a Hospital Management graduate), finding the event amazing, thanked the University for taking the effort of organizing it in such a distinct way.

Mr. Abdulmajeed EL-Hashedi (Accounting 3^rd top graduate) presented his sincere thanks to Al-Nasser staff for the excellent educational services it offered throughout the four-year study which yielded competent graduates capable of contributing to their national wellbeing.

Mr. Emad EL-Emad (a Pharmacy graduate) stressed that Al-Nasser is one of the best universities distinguished with its faculty and practical learning in addition to the cadre’s highly refined manners. He conveyed his sense of appreciation to them all and wished the fresher students an enriching experience at Al-Nasser University.

For his part, Mr. Ryadh El-Fadhli (an Accounting graduate) expressed his and colleagues’ unspeakable happiness on such an occasion. He felt so proud of the success they could achieve by having the Bachelor’s degree.
