ANU Held Annual Ceremony to Honor High-ranking Students & Welcome Freshers

In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT) and Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), the annual ceremony to honor the 2017/2018 high-ranking students and welcome the current year freshers was conducted by Faculty of Medical Sciences and I T Department, FECS, on Saturday, 10 November 2018.

Delivering a speech on the occasion, Prof Tahish celebrated the University’s academic and administrative staff in recognition of their efforts towards improving the quality of education. Stating his hearty welcome to the fresher students at FMS and IT Dept., he also congratulated the last year top ranking students and wished them a promising and successful career.

The welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor (FMS Dean) who greeted the fresher students that had been carefully selected for admission from the long-list applicants. Congratulating the top ranking students, he urged them to keep up their excellent records and wished them the best of success. He also noted that the University has always been keen to be ahead and offer the best.

Moreover, Dr. Ezzumor pointed out that the University has made a great way in improving its outcome in the field of quality and academic accreditation as well as in practical training. Al-Nasser University, he maintained, has made a good name at Ministry of Higher Education and gave a shining example in adherence to the quality standards accredited by the Ministry.

He concluded by urging the fresher students to work hard and take as examples the brilliant top students as well as Medical and I T graduates who could prove their merits in the labor market and, with their competency, upheld the University’s high name.

Giving a speech on behalf of the top students, Zain El-Abedeen Ali El-Qarah talked about his sense of pride to be a student at the distinct IT Department of Al-Nasser University. He highly appreciated the continuous support of FECS deanship and faculty members as well as the University’s interest in organizing such an annual event to honor the top students and welcome the freshers.

Mr. Mohammed Ahmed El-Jandabi gave a speech in the name of parents. He greeted the audience and presented sincere thanks to the University and its staff for the keen interest in students and learning. He also spoke high of the University’s quality education for which the students made it their choice.

The event’s program included a number of entertaining shows by the starring comedian Salah El-Wafi, his all-star cast, the starring host Amar El-Shiekh, and the rising star Ayat Amar who presented many amusing scenes. The ceremony was concluded by handing honor certificates over to the FMS and IT top students of the various study levels.

Stating the students’ feedback on the event, Huda El-Shamiri (the second top-ranker of Community Health Sophomores) talked about the University’s interest in the top-ranking and fresher students the act that motivates them to increase their hard work and dedication to learning.

Zain El-Abedeen EL-Qarah (the first ranker of I T First Level) praised the university’s board’s as well as IT Department’s inspirational concern with students. He considered taking the effort of organizing such an event as an obvious sign of the University’s commitment to its students.

For his part, Baha’-adeen El-Hanani (a fresher student) urged his colleagues to spare no effort to learn availing themselves of the valuable opportunity offered by the University’s first-rate education as well as interest in students.

The event was held at the function hall of the Orphan Development Foundation, El-Nahdha neighborhood, in the presence of Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor (FMS Dean), Dr. Mansour Ezzabadi (FECS Dean), Dr. Anwar Maso’ud (Director of Quality Unit), the heads of FMS’ academic departments (Dr. Yaser El-Mad-haji, Dr. Abdurraqeeb El-Hanani, Dr. Mukhtar Ezzumor), Dr. Qais Ennuzaili (Head of I T Department), many faculty and staff members, and a large number of students along with their parents.
