ANU Holds Annual FMS Fresher & Top Students Celebration

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, the annual celebration to welcome the 2020/2021 fresher students and reward the 2019/2020 top students at Faculty of Medical Sciences was held in Sana’a Orphanage Hall, at Ennahdha neighborhood, on Thursday, 26 Nov 2020.

Addressing the audience, Prof Tahish greeted the attendees and confirmed the absolutely academic mission that Al-Nasser University is toiling to achieve regardless of obstacles. He noted that the University offers the scientific material, the best educational aids, qualified faculty, and the curricula that comply with the AAC standards, so that its graduates are competent enough to keep up the University’s name and contribute to the national wellbeing.

For his part, Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor, FMS Dean, congratulates the top students of the different departments. He advised the fresher students to start over with a lot of hard work and adherence to the University’s regulations. Invited them to follow the example of the rewarded top students throughout their study, he wished them the best experience with the excellent faculty, staff, and labs of Al-Nasser University.

Presented by the starring hosts Belal El-Arabi and Basmah Elmath-haji, the event’s program included a number of superb shows: an English speech by Mawan El-Jabri, the top student speech by Wala Anaem, a video show of FMS, in addition to folklore and artistic shows. The event was concluded by handing honor certificates and plaques over to top students.

The celebration made a good impression with the students. According to Shujoun El Azazi (the 2^nd top student of Pharmacy 5^th level), the event displays the University’s interest in as well as encouragement for outstanding students. She availed herself of the occasion to dedicate the success to the best sponsor, her mother.

Intisar Mohammed (1^st top student of Pharmacy 4^th level) presented, on behalf of her colleagues, sincere thanks to the University’s board and FMS deanship for their educational efforts and the kind gesture of organizing the present event as well.

For his part, Noaman Rajeh (3^rd top student of Pharmacy 2^nd level) stressed that the brilliant celebration in which he was honored motivated him to be more diligent and outstanding in the upcoming levels.

The event was held in the presence of Dr. Anwar Maso’ud (Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center), Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor (FMS Dean), faculty and staff members, and the fresher and top students’ families.
