ANU Starts 1st Semester Final Exams: Chancellor Inspects Exam Committees

The final exams of the first semester-2018/2019 started at FMS, FECS, FAFS, and Humanities at the outset of the current week. As part of the inspecting program to check over the exam progress at the University’s various departments, the Chancellor, Prof Abdullah Tahish, made a visit to the exam halls and committees at Faculty of Medical Sciences on Sunday, 23 Dec 2018.

Having a look at the procedures of organizing and monitoring exams, the Chancellor praised the great job successfully done by the people in charge. He also appreciated the students’ hard work  as well as compliance to the regulations and wished them the best of luck.

The exams were preceded by a number of preparations and meetings to ensure that they would be carried out successfully. The tasks assigned to the different supervising, organizing, executive, and security committees were determined to provide an appropriate exam climate for students. The exam halls were made ready while a meeting was held with the monitors to give them pre-exam guidelines and instructions.

It is noteworthy that Al-Nasser University has introduced the fingerprint system to verify the examinees’ identity. According to Mr. Anwar Adam (Head of I T Unit), the fingerprint system was linked with the academic one for an easy verification of the examinees’ identity the step that boost the bureaucratic performance and speed.
The Chancellor was escorted throughout his visit by Dr. Abdulkareem Ezzumor (FMS Dean) and Mr. Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary General).
