Chancellor Participates is Albaydha University 4th Conference

Representing Al-Nasser University, the Chancellor Prof Abdullah Tahish and Vice Chancellor Dr. Hussein Albahji participated in the 4th conference held by Albaydha University between 21-23 August 2023 under the slogan, “Role of Universities in Sustainable Development.”

The conference aims at promoting the universities’ research tendencies as well as establishing new scientific visions for sustainable development through the expertise exchange. It also intends to benefit from the results of the previous experimentations to improve the universities’ scientific and developmental role.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the private universities, Prof Tahish confirmed that the private universities stand as an important partner in implementing the national sustainable development. They play a vital role in advancing the scientific research, enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship, and offering opportunities of excellent vocational learning and training. He maintained that the private universities seek to activate their social, economic, and environmental role so as to serve the community and environment goals as well as educate about the importance of sustainable development.

Moreover, Prof Tahish noted to his expectations that the event will allow for the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and ideas about the role of private universities in sustainable development. He, besides, hoped that such an occasion would help to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the private universities on the one hand and the governmental, communal, and private organizations on the other towards reaching the sustainable development goals for our beloved homeland.

He concluded his speech by extending words of thanks and appreciation to Albaydha University and its president Prof Ahmed Alarami alongside with the conference coordinators for their regular organization of such important scholarly events. He also thanked the whole audience participating in the conference.

The three-day conference tackles six main themes through 222 research papers presented by academicians from local, regional, and international universities. The conference themes include the fields of natural science, humanities, administrative studies, education, medicine, and sports. 431 research scholars from Yemeni, Arab, and international universities present their papers either in person or online.
