Conclusion of “Institutional Benchmarks: A Way to Quality & Distinction” Workshop
In the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT) and Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor), the workshop held under the slogan, “Institutional Benchmarks: A Way to Quality & Distinction” was concluded at Al-Nasser University on Thurs, 24 Jan 2019. The two-day workshop was organized by Quality Unit at the University with Prof Salah Bahaj as a trainer.
On its second day, the workshop resumed discussion of the last part of institutional benchmarks related to competition scope. The participants’ group discussions of each separate theme concluded with a total assessment of the University’s institutional benchmarks. In addition, implementing plans are to be prepared that would enhance the existing benchmarks and meet the shortcomings so as to achieve quality.
According to Dr. Omar Eshuja’, a faculty member, Al-Nasser has an eminently competent leadership that do its best to promote the university by virtue of several standards the most important of which is institutional accreditation. The present workshop confirms the sublime horizon that the University and its staff aspire to. He noted to the importance of disseminating the institution’s culture for both faculty and staff members alike. Everyone would then do his/her best to achieve the university’s goals by all possible means and in spite of hindrances.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed El-Kuhali (FAFS Dean) stated out that ANU progresses steadily and confidently toward distinction and institutional quality. That appears clearly through the University’s keen interest in the employment and development of institutional benchmarks in spite of the considerable changes in labor market. He pointed out that compliance to such benchmarks represents a powerful indicator to the typically distinct performance ANU is after regarding the educational service it offers.
The workshop was concluded with handing over participation certificates by the Chancellor to the deans of faculties, heads of departments, Director of Quality Unit, Secretary-general, and faculty and staff members participating in the event. He also presented a plaque to the trainer, Prof Salah Bahaj in appreciation of his efforts and excellent training.
