Diction Skills Training Session

A training session with the slogan “Break Fear Barrier” was organized last Sunday, Nov 6, 2016 by Faculty of Administrative and Financial Studies. The Session targeted the junior and senior students of all disciplines.

Delivering the key speech, Mr. Waleed El-Dhawi (a Radio Broadcaster) lectured on the basic skills of addressing audience that students need to make impressive presentations and research viva.

The session comprised guidelines over standing confidently and addressing audience. It, furthermore, tackled the possible problems a speaker might encounter and how to overcome them. A number of students did practically deliver sample speeches that were assessed and commented on by the lecturer.

Dr. Mohammed El-Kuhali (FAFS Dean) pointed to Al-Nasser’s keen interest in practical training that enhances the students’ competence, qualifies them well, and polishes up their professional skills.

For their part, the participants felt happy with the session’s guidelines that would help them improve the communication skills as well as effectively use the means of persuasion in their respective disciplines, professions, or everyday practices.
