DQAC Organizes Revising & Improving IT Program Workshop

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a workshop was organized under the slogan, “Revising and Improving the Plan and Curriculum of IT Program” the Development and Quality Assurance Center at Al-Nasser University. The event took place at the University’s headquarter on Mon, 5 Sep 2022.

At the outset, Prof Tahish delivered a speech in which he greeted the audience. He also noted that Al-Nasser University, unlike other local universities, is conducting the Information Technology program in partnership with Aptech International Center. The University, he added, is always committed to improving and updating the program so as to be in line with the labor market’s requirements as well as the standards of the Academic Accreditation Council. Its main goal is to produce excellent graduates some of whom have already proved their and the university’s merit in the labor market.

For his part, Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, confirmed that the University, heeded by its slogan “Steady Steps toward Eminence,” is always committed to evaluating and improving the current academic programs. The IT program has undergone several evaluation stages up to its present excellent status. According to him, Al-Nasser University has never spared an effort to develop its outcomes in the various professional, scientific, ethical, and humanitarian fields. Based on this, the present workshop was meant to get updated with the rapid changes in the IT program and, thus, keep pace with the labor market’s criteria.

For his part, Dr. Qais Ennuzaili, FECS Vice Dean and Head of IT Department, pointed out that the workshop came up with significant suggestions that would contribute to improving the current syllabus of the IT program, on the one hand, and make valuable additions, on the other.

The workshop was held in the presence of Prof Mohammed Esharjabi, the Chancellor’s Counsellor for academic accreditation affairs and computer programs supervisor, Mr. Ali Ethayfani, Secretary General, Mr. Hani Elghaithi, the IT faculty member, Mr. Fawaz Elqubati, the academic head of Aptech Center. Participants included delegates from the best computer and IT companies (YemenSoft, Prosite, NewTouch, YottaGate, Betasys, Ebda’aSoft, and Natco), academicians form local universities, graduates from IT Department at Al-Nasser University, and students of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th levels.
