Dr. Ibtisam El-Mo’ayad in Infective Disease Conference

The Head of Laboratory Dept at FMS, Dr. Ibtisam El-Mo’ayad, has participated in the International Conference on “Infective Diseases” organized by University of Science and Technology Hospital. The conference was held to discuss the cutting-edge knowledge on infective diseases and infection control, to introduce the clinical use of antibiotics “Sptimized, HG,” and to benefit from in the international expertise that could enrich treatment principles.

Participants in the conference included delegates from Ministry of Public Health and WHO in addition to researchers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, KSA, Iraq, and many other nationalities.

The conference had, moreover, a number of workshops whereby participants were trained on the international standards of infection control. A paper tackling the antibiotic-resistant bacteria was presented by Dr. Ibtisam .

The conference targeted the following professions: medical staff working at infective disease clinics and infection control sections; clinical microbiologists; clinical pharmacologists; decision-makers of health education policies and quality surveillance.
