FECS Holds ‘Data Security Crime Forensics’ Seminar in Collaboration with YITTU & IEEE

Under the auspices of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, a seminar on “Data Security Crime Forensics” was organized by Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences at Al-Nasser University in collaboration with Yemeni IT & Telecommunications Union and IEEE-Yemen Branch. The seminar was held at the headquarter of Faculty of Engineering and Commuter Sciences on Wed, 8 Feb 2023.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the Chancellor, Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, confirmed the significance of such activities for sharpening the students’ skills. He also appreciated the active part of the participating bodies, namely YITTU and IEEE.

For his part, Dr. Qais Ennuzaili, FECS Vice Dean, noted that Al-Nasser University had a head start in launching cybersecurity and digital forensics program which is distinct from the peer programs at other universities as it focuses more on the digital crime forensics. He also pointed out that the present seminar highlights this field of study which is still uncommon in Yemen.

Mr. Mohammed Erryashi, YITTU Head, noted to the importance of the collaboration between the Union and the University for raising awareness on data security as well as promoting the national data security.
