FMS Honors Ideal Employee

An Ideal Employee honouring ceremony has been organized by Faculty of Medical Sciences on Thursday 10/15/2015. In the presence of Dr Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT), Prof Abdullah Tahish (the Rector), Mr Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary General), and Dr Abdulkareem El-Zumor (FMS Dean), the event opened with Quran recitation and the National Anthem.

In his address, Dr El-Zumor availed himself to congratulated attendees on Hijri New Year as well as the anniversary of October 14 Revolution. Presenting his hearty welcome to the Rector, deans, and attendees, he appreciated the administration’s senses of responsibility sparing no effort to upgrade FMS and improve its academic capacity and facilities.

The Dean, besides, pointed out to the importance of organizing the present event that marks a good gesture by the University towards promoting the spirit of competition amid its staff. He, furthermore, confirmed the undisputable integrity and sincerity of the committee running the Ideal Employee selection process.

The Rector delivered a speech in which he saluted the attendees and expressed his sense of appreciation to the FMS deanship for the outstanding role it has always been playing since the establishment of the University. He noted how activating the “reward and punishment principle” would push the University steps ahead. Rewarding would encourage employees to be creative, whereas punishment ought to guide the erroneous back to the right way. The Rector emphasized that the event of honouring the ideal employee would be broadened to cover the entire University’s staff with a set of regulations to further enhance the integrity of the selection mechanism.

The ceremony had an entertaining program and chants which were followed by honouring the CBT, the Rector, and the Secretary-General by FMS Dean for their considerable contribution to the University’s well being. Thereafter, Mr Anwar El-Quraydhi was selected for the Silent Hardworking Employee Reward. Dr Amal El-Qadasi and Mr Fuad El-Ba’dani were honoured as the Ideal Employee first and second runners respectively.

The event was finally crowned by announcing Dr Layla El-Akhali as the 2014/2015 Ideal Employee. Dr Layla is the Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs. She is also the Superintendant of Evening Class at Pharmacology Department with an excellent record that qualified her well for the rewarded title.
