I T Department Holds Graduation Projects Viva

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, the 1st viva voce session of the 2021/2022 graduation projects was held by IT Department, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences, on Tues, 28 June 2022.

In his speech, Prof Tahish stressed the importance of graduation projects to achieve the University’s 3rd goal of scientific research. He noted to the benefit the students have from such an activity which represents his/her 1st step into the labor market where he/she can prove the professional competency gained form study years.

For his part, Dr. Qais Ennuzaili, Head of IT Department, appreciated the attention paid by the Chancellor towards such scholarly activities. He also highlighted that the viva of research projects is an essential part of evaluating the students’ proficiency in their major.

Prof Omar Eshuja, Dean of Development and Quality Assurance Center, pointed out that the viva voce helps graduates improve their research papers and correct the errors if any.

The viva session comprised two research groups: the project of the 1st group was about Class Attendance System, whereas the 2nd topic tackled Library System.

The session was held at the University’s headquarter in the presence of Mr. Ali Ethayfani (Secretary General), Prof Omar Eshuja (DQAC Dean), and Dr. Fahd Elkhayat (FAFS Dean). The examination committee comprised Dr. Qais Ennuzaili (Head of IT Department), Dr. Hisham Haidar (the external examiner), and Ms. Ne’ama Abdulaziz (the supervisor).
