IT Department Organizes Introductory Session for Fresher Students

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, an introductory session for fresher students was organized by Information Technology Department, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences. Held on Monday, 26 Oct 2020, the event was intent to introduce the students to their new experience of study at the University.

Prof Tahish addressed the students confirming the importance of their IT specialty as a major field of knowledge whose connection to the technological progress makes it indispensable to other fields. Consequently, the IT students should be more diligent and updated so as to keep pace with the rapid developments and improve their professional skills as well.

For his part, Dr. Qais Ennuzaili briefed the students on the study in the department including the significance of IT specialization and the study plan and curriculum. He stressed the importance of getting up-to-date in the IT field in addition to the good career prospects for the graduates.

The session’s program comprised many other participations including a speech by Dr. Anwar Maso’ud who talked about the Department’s compliance to the standards of academic accreditation and quality assurance. Mr. Hani Ghaith, a faculty member, introduced the students to the courses of the program, while Mr. Fawaz Elqubati, the Academic Head of Aptech Center, gave a detailed idea about the Department and its educational system.

The event was held at the University’s headquarter in the presence of Mr. Ali Ethayfani (Secretary General), Dr. Mohammed Shawqi (Dean of Humanities), faculty and staff members, and the IT first-level students.
