Lab’s Open Day for Needy Families

An open day was organized by Lab juniors at Al-Nasser University under the slogan, “Be a seed of bestowal: together let’s sow good so we can reap smile.” The event was held at the FMS’ grand hall on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Chiefly, the event was intent to give charity to the needy families with the proceeds of the bazaar and collected donations.

In addition, the program included seminars, competitions, and a number of participations. In the charity bazaar food items, handcrafted products, games, paintings, etc. were sold out to support the needy.

According to student Munir El-Dar, the idea of organizing an open day arose from the students’ sense of commitment to help the needy especially as the holy month of Ramadan draws near during which those people may fall short of basic necessities. He noted to how such an initiative comes to echo the motto of Lab juniors’ cohort, ‘Be Positive.’
