Media Students Visit El-Wafi Center

With the participation of all Media students, a visit was organized by Department of Media, Faculty of Humanities, to El-Wafi Center for Media Production & Training last Thursday, Dec 29, 2016.

Giving a warm welcome to the visitors, Mr. Salah El-Wafi (TV Celebrity & owner of the Center) noted to the important role the Media play in mobilizing events which necessitates doing our best to establish security and stability across the country.

Mr. Waleed El-Ulofi (a TV director & executive manager) presented a detailed explanation on the steps that must be considered towards preparing a media production: identifying the central ideas; determining events and characters; scenario writing; cinematography; directing; editing; and distribution of tasks among the team members.

He, furthermore, advised the students not to get frustrated at the current difficult circumstances and shortage of material support. By the strong will and determination, simple plans might become huge projects.

Mr. Ahmed El-Surouri (an executive manager) talked about the work mechanism in TV studios: principles of light distribution; setting of camcorders during TV programs; and the types as well as brands of the audio and video equipment to be used.

Mr. Abdullah Yahia Ebrahim (a TV actor & director) introduced the students to the basics of acting and history of its developments. He, besides, trained the students on such techniques as imagination, body language, and motion.

A certificate of thanks presented from Al-Nasser University was handed over by the students to the Center. They also expressed their sense of gratitude to the center for the great experience they derived from the visit.
