A field visit involving fifth level students was organized by Department of Pharmacy at Faculty of Medical Sciences to the headquarter of Pharmacare Pharmaceuticals Company on Wednesday, 19 Feb 2020. The visit falls within the department’s training plan for the second semester, 2019/2020.

Accompanied throughout their visit by Dr. Safya Erruzami (Director of Training and Research, FMS), the students were received by a number of the company’s staff members including: Dr. Samah El-Bahr of Quality Assurance Dept. and Dr. Naser Essoudani (Director of Pharmaceutical Monitoring Lab). A presentation was made by Dr. Manal El-Hakeemi of R & D Dept. The visitors, thereafter, toured the company’s department to be introduced to their respective work mechanism by Dr. Anwar Essoudani (in charge of stores), Dr. Abdurrahman EL-Wajeeh (a production superintendent), Dr. Munir El-Hebshi (the quality assurance superintendent), and Dr. Waleed Edhayani (the R & D superintendent).

They toured the sample reception zone, sampling zone, material rejection/approval area, packaging warehouse, packaging material quarantine zone, raw material warehouse, bottle check chamber, oral liquid preparation chamber, liquid material packaging, tablet & capsule packaging zone, mixing chamber, granulation chamber, plaster machine zone, chemical and physical lab, microbiological lab, chemical substance warehouse, testing equipment lab, Stability and development lab.
