Pharmacy Dept. Welcomes Freshers & Honors Ranking Students

Conducted in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Saif Muharram (CBT) and Prof. Abdullah Tahish (the Chancellor) on Wed, Jan 4, 2017, a celebration was organized at Pharmacy Department that was chiefly meant to welcome the 2017 Fresher and honor the ranking students.

In his speech, the Chancellor paid homage to attendees. He expressed the sense of pride over the topper students whose brilliance and future career would certainly contribute to the University’s name. He welcomed the fresher students and urged them to work hard as well as abide by the University’s regulations.

He pointed out to the advanced position Al-Nasser occupies in the list of local universities. It owns programs that go in line with the academic accreditation standards the fact that has made the committees of Ministry of Higher Education praise the high standards of its academic programs and training.

For his part, Dr. Abdulkareem El-Zumor (FMS Dean) stressed the University’s keen interest in celebrating such an event annually so as to honor the toppers and urge the freshers to be in their place. He noted that the University supports FMS with all requirements towards having well-qualified graduates.

Dr. Yasser El-Madhaji (Head of Pharmacy Dept.) greeted the freshers asking them to unleash their potential so that they become worthy of the pursued degree. They represent the University’s assets, so their success must add to its name and value. He, moreover, expressed his sense of pride over Pharmacy students’ achievements and the vigorous talents they possess both in their major and in various activities.

The students’ speech was delivered by Zakeria Dohshoush who talked about their sense of pride over belonging to such a pioneering university as Al-Nasser. He thanked the University’s staff and faculty members for their remarkable concern with students.

Having art shows, entertainments, and poetic presentations, the event’s program concluded with handing awards over to the ranking students and cohort representatives.

Giving his feedback on the event, Mustafa El-A’oer (fourth-level second-ranker) pointed out that such an occasion is the outcome of the brilliant students’ hard work. He felt so happy at sharing merry with colleagues and freshers.

Mohammed El-Kawkabani (representative-in-chief & coordinator of sport and cultural committee) appreciated the University’s continuous support for students, the brilliant in particular.

Student Yousif Nasser (fourth-level representative) praised the celebration. He confirmed that the students’ success is the result of their hard work and an indication of their commitment to national well being.

Ghamdan Muharram (a fourth-level student) stressed the celebration’s importance as an event that would encourage the toppers for further brilliance and motivate the freshers for competition.

The event was held in the FMS’s grand hall in the presence of Mr. Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary-general), Dr. Abdulkareem El-Zumor (FMS Dean), Dr. Anwar Mas’oud (Head of Quality Unit), heads of departments, faculty & staff members and a big gathering of students.
