Open Day at English Department

In the presence of Prof Abdullah Tahish, the Chancellor, an open day was organized by the Translation students of English Department at Faculty of Humanities, Al-Nasser University. The Event was conducted at the University’s headquarter on Tuesday, 30 March 2021. 

The Chancellor delivered a speech in which he stated his sense of pride over the proficiency displayed by the students of the English Department. Appreciating the role of the Head of Department in improving the students’ language skills, he also praised the efforts made by the participant students and contributed to such an excellent event.

On his part, Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi, Head of English Department, pointed out that the open day is an annual tradition of the department by which students can practice their language skills and show their creative talents. He extended his sincere thanks to the Chancellor as well as the participants for making the event a success. He, moreover, called the fourth level students to keep developing their skills so as to prove their merit in labor market.

The open day’s program included a lot of entertainments, art shows, and competitions which created an intellectual and cheerful climate and highlighted the participants’ English proficiency. The event was concluded by rewarding the event’s coordinators and the fourth level students as well.

The event was held in the presence of Mr. Ali Althayfani (Secretary General), Dr. Mohammed Shawqi (Dean of Humanities), Dr. Munir Al-Aghberi (Head of English Department), Dr. Qais Ennuzaili (Head of I T Department), a number of faculty and staff members, and the English Department’s students.
