Short Film by Al-Nasser Media Student Ranks Second in Film Festival

Competing in the Yemeni Short Film Festival held in Sana’a last February, Anwar El-Mashmali’s film entitled “Feather-light Dreams” ranked second.  The short movie was directed by Waleed El-Olufi. Anwar is a freshman student at Media Dept, Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Humanities.

A number of awards and honors have been garnered by the talented student whose acting career looks promising. His gift flourished early in school theatre where he was famous as a stand-up comedian, 2013.  He participated in many nationally well-known dramatic works in addition to some performances in Egypt.

The film starred by Anwar is supposed to participate in Dubai Film Festival which will be held in the few coming months. Moreover, his acting gifts singled him out for playing a part in the renowned Ramadan TV Series “Hammi Hammak.”

Besides, he is a member of the cast in many Yemeni comedies and theatrical performances in addition to taking an active part in the awareness campaigns organized by local and international organizations.
