University Council Regular Meeting

Chaired by the Rector, the University Council held a meeting where the Council members were all in attendance.
 At the meeting, the Rector reviewed the progress in the second-semester study plan and the commitment of the colleges’ deanships to its implementation, in addition to the means to meet the study’s different requirements. The meeting addressed a number of topics, including cultural activities as well as the internal sport league.
Moreover, the Council approved to set English courses up for FMS students in order to help them fathom the curriculum and thus raise the quality and efficiency of the University’s graduates.
Likewise, the Council approved the setup of a first aid course for Pharmacology and Lab students in addition to an introductory lecture in Research Methodology for senior students.
As part of its commitment to the academic accreditation criteria, the Council approved the appointment of Dr. Abdulraqeeb El-Hanani as the Head of Public Health Department, FMS. Besides, a committee chaired by Dr Mohammed El-Kuhali, Dean of FAS, was appointed to prepare for the convocation.
The Council also decided to launch the attendance record for academicians whose names are not included in the fingerprinting system so as to avoid wasting the class credit hours.
