University Honors Top-ranking Students

 An honoring ceremony was conducted last Monday for the 2014/2015 top-ranking students of Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences, Faculty of Administrative and Financial Studies, and Faculty of Humanities.

The ceremony that began by welcoming the attendees (the Chancellor, faculty members, staff, students and their relatives) was opened with the National Anthem and Quran verse recitation.

In his speech, the Chancellor, Prof. Abdullah Tahish, greeted the attendees and confirmed Al-Nasser’s main objective of offering an excellent qualification that should go in line with the University’s academic status as graduates become its representatives in the labor market.

Congratulating the top students for their excellence and praising their perseverant hard work, he also appreciated the important part that faculty members as well as the students’ families played towards that success.

The Chancellor noted that the University takes into account the students’ economic conditions due to the political crisis and would do its best to offer the possible help. He declared the establishment of short-term training courses at nominal costs in English, ICDL and IBDL to help students develop their professional skills.

 Delivering a speech on behalf of the top students, Muna El-Hammadi and Mohammed El-Bukhaiti expressed their sense of appreciation to the University, faculty members and whosoever offered administrative or scientific support to students. They also presented their hearty thanks to their parents who certainly contributed to the excellence they achieved.

The ceremony concluded with handing out honor certificates and awards to the top students. Attendees included: Mr. Ali El-Thayfani (Secretary General), Deans of Faculties of (Engineering, Administrative Studies, and Humanities), heads of departments, staff members, and a large gathering of students and their relatives.

The ceremony’s program contained a number of art shows, entertaining presentations, and funny participations by talented students and professional music bands.
