Visit Organized by IT Dept. to General Telecommunication Institute

A scientific visit was organized by IT Department at Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences, Al-Nasser University to the headquarters of General Telecommunication Institute at Eljiraf neighborhood. Targeting the department’s 1^st and 2^nd level students, the visit took place on Wed, 24 April 2019.

Accompanied throughout their visit by Dr. Qais Ennuzaili (Head of IT Department), the students were greeted at Cisco Academy and GTI by Mr. Ameen Elfaqeeh (an accredited Cisco trainer), Ms. Wejdan Elahdal (Head of Cisco Academy- Yemen), Mr. Abdullateef Elaqua (GTI Marketing Officer), and Mr. Adnan El-Aghberi (GTI Correspondence & Microwave Officer) who introduced the students to the telecommunication and networking mechanism.

Dr. Qais Ennuzaili pointed out that the visit was mainly intended to acquaint students with the telecommunication and networking appliances as well as to develop their knowledge and skills on the Networks course.

The visit enriched the students’ knowledge of the networks’ installment, types, and connection lines. They also identified the landline, mobile, and internet networks, the connection process, and data sending and receiving within or across networks.
